Global terrorism is creating a underlying level of fear throughout the world. It is erecting an expansive juxtaposition between world ideologies and faith, pulling people into opposing emotional opinion camps. Fear based opinions. People are jumping on the “War on Terrorism” bandwagon, fueling the fires of destruction. But history has proven the “War” on anything fails. The war on drugs, the war on poverty, the war on science, the war on women, the war on Christianity, etc. Nothing changes or improves.
I’m a believer in multiple views, a wide perspective on any event or situation, an “above-the-clouds” vision on world affairs. I decided to do an anagram (mixing up the letters within the word as in scrabble, seeing what other words are available) within the word “terrorist.” And on “Muslim extremists.” An interesting story unfolded. Creating an anagram gives an inside story, definitions within a definition, broadening the scope of understanding. (I have explained this before in regards to our names, creating anagrams for clarity on our life’s journey.)
Anagram words related to “terrorist:” Lost, errors, toil, rioters, riot, retro, sore. Tells a sad story. Lost souls who toil around misplaced loyalties and errors, sore with sorrow, and riot for a past that no longer is in alignment with the present.
Anagrams related to “Muslim extremists:” Meritless, miseries, sterilize, surliest, slimiest, slum, slummier, riteless, limiters, exitless, misrules, missile, tireless, users, simmers, mesmerize. It’s revealing. A slimy mindset which focuses on the miseries of others, simmers in meritless acts having no exit, tireless in the desire to mesmerize souls, hypnotize them into believing a limiting ideology to sterilize the planet. The use of missiles, bombs and guns a given, a necessity. Wow. What an inside tag line into the backstory. A heavy burden to lay on people’s souls.
This paints a bleak image of people drawn into a ideological black hole, a place of evil nightmares, depraved and nefarious behaviors. And yet, I have great compassion for the cruel malignant infusion of terrorism into these people’s minds, beliefs and lives. Can you imagine what living in that kind of fear must be like within their own thinking? It’s a living hell. There are no perpetrators who haven’t been victimized personally in some horrific way, which then creates this tortuous conviction of total destruction. It’s a system of a continued foul, villainous mindset generated from experience and abuse. It’s created, not born. The best way to change it is yes, set boundaries, draw the line in the sand and say “No more! We won’t play this game.” At the same time, sending prayers, compassion, empathy, being the change we want to see in the world.
Seeing ISIL (and it is ISIL not ISIS) as the entire Muslim community is likened to saying the Klu Klux Klan represents Christianity. We have to be clear.
This is food for thought. Understanding the deeper hidden messages in the terrorists’ twisted, warped upside down ideology allows room for proactive global solutions. We also have to feel we can individually do something to change the world for the positive. This is where generosity, understanding, strength and compassion extended outwards to all faiths, all beliefs, are the best ingredients for modifying the outcome. Not buying into the “fear” is also paramount to the best and brightest future, a future without terrorism.
Cosmic sunshine to you.
