Okay, here’s the Costco story. The events though straight forward are actually curious, intriguing and baffling. You decide the what, where, how of it because truthfully, it’s quite mysterious.

This April my family and I went to Whistler for spring skiing, my fav!  In preparation we stopped at the north Seattle Costco for supplies. Mr. Canada was with me. We decided to be extra organized; I would shop while he got the gas.  We both entered into the building together, he took the Costco card and went back to the car. About 10 minutes later he found me in the produce department all stressed and embarrassed.  The card was missing. He left the building with it in his hand, got to the car then realized the card was no longer in his hands or jacket or pants. He then retraced his steps in the parking lot and back inside the building. No card. Nothing. How it simply vanished was odd. Of course one could think, he simply lost it, right?  However….well, I’ll explain.

At the time I thought, no worries and had another card issued. We shopped, got the gas and returned to my son’s house to organize and create space for him in the backseat.

While we were inside gathering the last of the ski equipment, Mr Canada came into the house ashen and jittery and looking incredibly perplexed after rearranging bags in the car. Behind the drivers seat was a guitarcase, a pillow and bags. Underneath all of them, directly on the backseat, looking up in all its white plastic glory against the backdrop of black leather, was the original Costco card. Mind you, neither one of us had opened the backdoor of the car, yet alone moved things to deliberately hide the card from one another under all the bags.

I laughed. Said, “Wecome to my world, where everything happens and is an open possibility.” Because it is. He still didn’t buy it or believe it…yet. It was just too damn weird so he worked out a half a dozen scenarios as to how it could’ve happened. Ha!

Life is much more grandiose and complex and beautiful than we can imagine. To me, these mysteries are here to remind us, nothing is truly as it seems.

Suggestions as to the cause? Multiple realities overlapping, a parallel universe, a mischievous angel, Dale on the the Other Side playing prankster, Mr Canada’s Multiple-Reality-Self getting his attention to awaken his beliefs, and/or a combo platter of all of them? And maybe even something more incredible beyond these ideas?

Anything is possible.
