I love this time of year. January feels fresh and invigorating, a new beginning for projects and goals. It’s also the month of reevaluation. Our time to get our lives on track – new direction, clear vision, better priorities, and finding a healthier you. The gyms are full of “great intentions” for the sexy body, the slimmer sleeker perfect physique. The “new you” for the “new year.”
People tend to throw out the old and bring in the redesigned. Cutting edge diets, fashionable fads, unique styles, invigorated by the burning desire to step up their game. I love the enthusiasm. I love the goal. Somewhere intermingled in the mix, is the additional concept of a healthy diet. I love the irony. Diet. The first part of the word is”die.” Are you kidding me? And we wonder why after a short amount of time, the “Die-It”gets thrown out with the bathwater. Somewhere in our internal psyche, we associate dying with dieting. Or, so it seems. We have to find a way to keep people excited, motivated and invigorated with the idea of a healthy body. As simple as this may sound, changing the vernacular from “diet” to something more appropriate might be a simple yet productive solution. Yes, we all know about “healthy lifestyle,” as a good alternative, but I think it needs to go further than that. We need a new word in general.
What about “going on a “Feat”” instead? I think it sounds more motivating to go on an “adventure, “filled with delectable energy sustaining body fuels, than to feel crunched into a “perceived” restriction. Or how about “Boon?” We are going on a “boon,”an “advantageous” food festival for our bodies. Now that sounds fantastic! I’ll create a cookbook based on the ultramodern, super-sexy, state-of-the-art, “A Boon for Your Body.”
There are many popular food trends happening in the media, fitness centers, nutritional services, groceries stores, recipe books, spas and salons, dietitians, and doctors offices. From the “Ideal Protein” regime, to the “Gabriel Method,” the Mediterranean Diet, to Joe Furhman’s belief we all need to be vegans, there are countless paths to the top of the thin-physique mountain. Diet books are at the top of the bestsellers list year-round. My husband who has been steadily working through and optimistically beyond aggressive cancer, has been adhering to a very strict ketogenic diet which is high in fats, low in carbs and proteins. It’s very rigorous and very challenging. I believe each of these have scientific research and evidence behind them and are well-founded, however I don’t necessarily feel they are correct and right for everyBody. I believe every “body” is it’s own special universe. I believe it should be treated accordingly.
What I mean by that, is I feel each “Boon” or “Feat” created ideally for the individual, would be best based on the energy fields of the foods in combination with the energy fields of each person. When they are in sync with one another, the health and vitality of the body will be in sync. All life has energy around it. This includes the foods we eat, to the energy field around our bodies. When these match we have unity. The challenge today is that many or most of our foods lack vivacity. The solution is to find local farmers who use organic sustainable crops. The food has more vibrancy and energy within it, the enzymes are alive and vital.
Beyond the basics, the “feat” (okay, I’ll relent- Die-It) is based on your personal electrical fields around your body. Learning to understand, appreciate and work with your electrical body, is one the best ways for health and creating that physique you’d like to live “within.” This can be done by learning muscle testing, or “kinesiology,” to matriculating a pendulum to discern energy. I have a group, I call my “poster children,” whom I’ve been integrating these techniques with, focusing on what their bodies deserve and require. They glow. They have energy and their brains/minds are sharp. It’s been really awesome to watch the transformation taking place within as their bodies shift and become strong and healthy. This can be you. It’s not complicated. It’s straightforward, direct and based on science. Electricity is an energy field. It’s not something airy-fairy. And it works and is it attuned specifically to you.
This is what I feel and believe the future of health and vitality will go, where science and vision, common sense and insight, meld into perfect union and synergy.
The best of health to you!
Cosmic sunshine to you.
