“Consciousness Coffee: How to Truly Wake-Up”

I’m not a coffee drinker, never have been. I did splurge a bit in my twenties with the likes of Coffee Nudges, but that was then. The mere thought of a light night coffee splurge sends my nervous system into shudders. Morning brew has never been my eye-opener either, however that’s not true for 60% of the U.S.’s adult population who sing a completely different song. The average coffee consumer has at least three cups per day.

The real issue is the caffeine. The bitter sharp, biting flavor is  extremely acidic for the human body, but more importantly the caffeine jolt activates the neural circuits of the pituitary gland to secrete hormones causing the adrenal glands to produce adrenaline. In other words, caffeine puts the body into a slight case of constant “fight or flight.” Over time, it becomes habit forming, addictive. It becomes difficult to not operate without the constant hot refill as the adrenal glands become tired, exhausted by the perpetual anxiety they’re forced into.

For the Love of inner Awakening

For the Love of inner Awakening

Ironically, I have photos of an experiment preformed on spiders using cocaine, heroin and caffeine to see if it altered their webs. The worst were those created on caffeine; the strands were disjointed with no symmetry or design visible. Something to ponder as you sip your next cup.

However, with all that said, what if we were to look at this mass addiction through a new lens and accept “what is,” that 83% of the population drink coffee, with surprisingly enough the U.S. in the lead, what if there was a new spin on consumption? What if, with every sip, gulp, swallow, a mindful thought of actively, engaging our minds to “Wake Up,” to “Consciously Awaken” to the best we can be with coffee as the avenue of that activation, the reviving of our “true” spirit could actually happen, would we take that split second to engage the process?

Would you?

Another statistic I find rather disturbing: 24% of the population has thirteen cups of coffee a day. Imagine all that caffeine coursing through their veins all hyped up and ready for interaction…and we wonder why we have road rage? But here again, if with every gulp, a mindful thought crossed the awareness threshold of actively engaging the higher consciousness, the results could be completely within a new positive scope. Perhaps these individuals are already working hard at accessing their higher powers? We can only wish.

Because, in truth, we all die. When that occurs we can peruse over our lives and discover if we really, truly, madly, deeply lived our lives on track and accomplished all our soul(s) had set up for themselves. Or NOT? ~ We are all on the planet so I’m thinking we’ve missed the mark more than a few times ~ just sayin’ here. ~ If we were instead focused on utilizing every gift, every tool to help with the enlightenment process, well then, why the hell not?!

I’m appealing to all habitual coffee consumers, with each sip of hot, steaming, frothy, buttery, creamy, cinnamon, chicory-flavored brew you drink, plug-in to your higher awareness, let it float across your radar. This can be your new “specialty coffee.” You just might see some subtle yet refreshing new internal changes the more you engage this line of mindfulness.

I’m  now contemplating starting my own chain of “consciousness coffee” because I love the concept even if I don’t like the flavor. When my first shop is opened, The Conscious Coffee Cafe,  I’ll invite you all for a cuppa consciousness.

Cosmic sunshine to you.
