There’s an investment saying called “Priced to Perfect” which is when an asset is selling as if the business plan were already in place. An example would be in the real estate market where property is sold based on what it could be if such and such were upgraded and improved. The best choice of course is to make the investment based on what it’s worth now, at the present time not on future speculations otherwise our investment portfolio could take a dramatic hit if markets change. Sound advice financially.
We deal in a world of “It is what it is.” Investing based on sound decisions and smart choices. Yet to me there’s a paradox on a personal level in the “It Is What Is” theory that needs examining as a reflective mirror into our psyches. Everything is a mirror of itself, a fractal of a larger concept. And besides, I love mixing and matching ideologies and theory and discover new species of thought and awareness. I’ll explain.
What if we were to utilize this concept, this belief or formula, “Priced to Perfection” for ourselves, our self value? Not to sell ourselves of course, but to imagine our worlds the way they would be, could be, will be, the way we’d love them to be and act accordingly? This is at the heart of true manifesting and the creative spark. Imagination. Instead we opt for the mantra “It is What Is,” staying in a small reality block of our own creation and can’t ever figure out why nothing changes in our worlds from our relationships to our financial successes?!? It’s because we have lost our connection to that creative speculation, the enticement of something more, that Shangri la. Because why? “It Is What Is” syndrome of course….😉 which is the never ending circle-game going counter-clockwise, counter-intuitive. Our beliefs and monkey mind-loop limit our life experiences.
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.” Albert Einstein
Honestly I’m guilty of the “It Is What Is” formula, the repeating mantra based on others beliefs and stories I’ve read that strongly suggests that if we don’t accept “what is” we can’t move forward. Okay, I get that – however – and I’m an “However” kind of girl – I believe strongly there’s a better way to create our treasures along the path, our best goals romantically to financially. It’s to believe feel act feel believe whatever our dreams are, are not only possible they’re inevitable. The hiccup of course is to stay out of the “It Is What Is” syndrome and maintain the “Priced to Perfection” speculation. The investment attitude in ourselves for ourselves for our dreams based on the chosen steps, beliefs, feelings and alignments today. That’s where the present moment of “It is What Is” comes in optimally. We are building our desires based on how we feel today.
And honestly this requires work on our part to rewrite our stories. About twenty years ago I did this exercise where I’d write in a future journal describing all that was transpiring in my life the way I desired a year ahead of where I actually was. I did this for a period of time. Eventually the things I dreamt came into my reality, perhaps not exactly in the journal’s time-line however on a broader scope they materialized. This is one formula.
Another creative speculation tool is upon waking, sit with expansive thoughts and ideas, and sensuously experience through the six senses how it feels (see I put that in present tense for future reference) to be totally madly in love and/or wealthy, healthy and strong and whatever it is that’s not exactly where you’d like it to be. Be that person. Feel the pleasure. Share the wealth, the love.
One more jewel – is it really is the journey, the amazing path we create that’s at the heart of our own stories. But that’s easy to forget in the mad-dash to the finish line. It gets lost in the “It Is What Is” story too. Bottom line it’s up to each of us to create our creative speculation, our “Path to Perfection.”
So make it a good one, make it fun.
Cosmic sunshine to you.
