“Quick Recipe on Creating Our “Happy:” Everyday is an Op”

I realized I wasn’t in my “happy.” Life. Too many things on my list, not too mention, new death and grieving. Not an excuse, just truth. So me being me, had to dig and analyze and visualize and dial in the path and a recipe.

Recipe: Everyday is an Op.

Operative word: fun. Next: connection. If we don’t have these as part of our daily routines, I feel we lose it. Our magic, our joy. What does fun look like to each of us? What does connection mean?

Fun means multiple things to everyone. Daily fun can mean playing games with friends and family, watching a great series, playing in the park with our favorite dog, talking with a loved one on a scheduled call, sharing a glass of wine as the sun sets, jumping on a trampoline on a daily routine with your fav tramping buddy three hours away. Fun can mean zillions. However, life can get in the way, and those moments or times slip away because we don’t make time.

Connection – Has a thousand different interpretations and responsibilities – like the zillion nerve connection in our bodies, – connection with family, friends, a special partner, pet, a social network, ourselves, the earth. The Universe. To me, this is critical. There are far too many lonely  people on this planet. We desperately need these connections to make our lives rich, vital, heart-centered, real. Too often, these important connections have been lost, severed, or just let go.

I had this wake-up, reality check. I’d been hiding with my Harry Potter invisibility cloak on, disconnected to my cosmic self. Not on purpose mind you, but daily obligations had taken over my thinking, my mind absorbed with tasks and duties. That’s life, yes. However, learning to balance the priorities in addition to keeping and maintaining the fun and important connections are essential to my happiness – that sense of joy. I had to take time to recenter – recenter to my cosmic self ~Imperative!!! and realign priorities and make sure these vital aspects were part of my days. I believe this is true for all of us.

Carving time every single day for that personal self connection will separate the Happy from the unhappy.  I know. It’s too easy to let the days become congested. I’m back on track, cup of tea, watching the sun set and the full moon rise.

Everyday is an op when viewed through the right lens. I’ve every color and I’m happy to share.

Cosmic sunshine to you.
